Users can search circRNADisease v3.0 entries in four ways: by circRNA, host gene, disease, or miRNA. The search results provide comprehensive annotations for each experimentally supported circRNA-disease association, including circRNA information, disease information, association evidence, and literature details.

  • circRNA basic information: includes circBase ID, standardized circRNA name in circRNADisease v3.0, synonyms, host gene, genomic location in hg19 and hg38, and subcellular localization.
  • Disease basic information: includes MONDO ID, MONDO disease name, disease description, cross-referenced disease identifiers from Disease Ontology, MeSH, NCIt, ICD-11, and OMIM, as well as species, species details, tissue specimens, cell lines, and in vivo animal models.
  • circRNA-disease association information:includes expression pattern, such as up-regulated, down-regulated, or dysregulated; associated genes; associated microRNAs; biological functions; molecular mechanisms; biological pathways or processes; detection methods, such as RT-qPCR, RNA-seq, microarray, or other approaches; validation methods; clinical significance, including associations with prognosis or diagnosis; an overall description of the reported association; and a confidence score calculated based on the supporting validation evidence.
  • Other information: includes article title, journal, publication year, PubMed ID, study type, data availability, and code availability.
