circRNA-disease information
Expression pattern:
UN
Associated gene: GLUT1, LDHA
Associated microRNA: miR-145-5p
Biological function: Promotes viability, migration, invasion and glycolysis; inhibits apoptosis of gastric cancer cells.
Molecular mechanism: Acts as a sponge of miR-145-5p; negatively regulates miR-145-5p; involved in bupivacaine anti-tumor effects via circ_0000376/miR-145-5p axis.
Biological pathway or process:

proliferation (promotes); migration (promotes); invasion (promotes); apoptosis (inhibits); glycolysis (promotes); ceRNA regulation (promotes)

Detected method:
Q
Validation methods:

RT-qPCR; Bioinformatics Analysis; Luciferase Reporter Assay; Transfection; CCK8; Transwell Assay; Annexin V/PI Flow Cytometry; Western Blot

Clinical significance:

Description:

In AGS and HGC27 gastric cancer cells, circ_0000376 promotes malignant phenotypes (viability, migration/invasion, glycolysis) and suppresses apoptosis. Mechanistically, circ_0000376 sponges miR-145-5p and negatively regulates its level; bupivacaine decreases circ_0000376, thereby increasing miR-145-5p and inhibiting malignant behaviors.

Confidence score:

0.5607
