Circ-HMGCS1 has good diagnostic value for distinguishing cervical cancer tumor tissues from adjacent normal tissues, is positively correlated with tumor size, lymph node metastasis, and FIGO stage, and high expression independently predicts poor DFS and OS.
In cervical cancer, circ-HMGCS1 is up-regulated in tumor tissues and shows strong diagnostic ability to distinguish tumor from adjacent normal tissues. High circ-HMGCS1 expression is associated with tumor size, lymph node metastasis, FIGO stage, and independently predicts worse DFS and OS, supporting its value as a disease monitoring and prognostic biomarker. The downstream molecular mechanism in cervical cancer was not investigated in this study.
