| Clinical significance: |
Decreased circTADA2A-E6 expression was associated with increased lymphatic metastasis and advanced clinical stage in TNBC; circTADA2A-E6 showed diagnostic value (AUC 0.8554); low circTADA2A-E6 level was associated with shorter DFS and OS in TNBC. |
| Description: |
circTADA2A-E6 (hsa_circ_0006220) is down-regulated in breast cancer (including TNBC) and acts as a tumor suppressor. It primarily localizes to the cytoplasm and sponges miR-203a-3p (and also binds miR-302c-3p), relieving repression of SOCS3 to inhibit clonogenicity, proliferation, migration/invasion and xenograft tumor growth. Clinically, low circTADA2A-E6 associates with lymph node metastasis/advanced stage and poorer TNBC survival, with diagnostic potential by ROC analysis. |
