circFNDC3B (hsa_circ_0006948) is up-regulated in ESCC tissues/cells and ESCC-derived exosomes and promotes malignant phenotypes (proliferation, migration/invasion, glycolysis) and xenograft growth. Mechanistically, it is delivered via exosomes and functions as a ceRNA by sponging miR-490-5p, thereby increasing TXNRD1 expression. High circFNDC3B is associated with advanced stage/lymph node invasion, diagnostic value (ROC AUC 0.9043), and poorer overall survival. |
