Functionally, circDUSP16 promotes ESCC cell viability, colony formation, migration, invasion, glycolysis, and in vivo tumorigenesis. Mechanistically, it acts through a circDUSP16/miR-497-5p/TKTL1 regulatory axis by sponging miR-497-5p to positively regulate TKTL1 expression.
