Description:

The circular form of CDKN2B-AS1 is down-regulated in UC-active/IBD colonic biopsies. Experimental knockdown (targeting both linear and circular transcripts) in Caco2 BBE cells increases proliferation and enhances epithelial barrier function, associated with reduced Claudin-2 levels, and the RNA is primarily nuclear.
