Description:

circFLNA is up-regulated in intestinal epithelium during abdominal sepsis and in LPS-treated HIEC-6 cells. It localizes mainly in the cytoplasm and promotes intestinal epithelial apoptosis and inflammation by sponging miR-766-3p, thereby increasing Fas expression and activating the Fas-mediated extrinsic apoptosis pathway; circFLNA knockdown alleviates intestinal injury in the CLP mouse sepsis model.
