Validation methods:

RNA-seq; RT-qPCR; RNase R Treatment; Back-Splice Junction PCR / divergent primers PCR; Sanger Sequencing; Clinical Sample Validation; ROC Analysis; Bioinformatics Analysis

Clinical significance:

Diagnostic biomarker for distinguishing ICH from healthy controls and from IS; ROC AUC 0.883 for circERBB2 alone and 0.917 when combined with circCHST12.

Description:

circERBB2 is a novel ERBB2-derived circRNA that is down-regulated in peripheral blood from ICH patients. It was validated as a bona fide circRNA and shows diagnostic value for distinguishing ICH from healthy controls (and also differs between ICH and IS), especially when combined with circCHST12 and clinical risk factors.

Confidence score:

0.6841
