circFUT8 is up-regulated in HCC cell lines and acts oncogenically by promoting proliferation and invasion while inhibiting apoptosis. Mechanistically, cytoplasmic circFUT8 sponges miR-552-3p to increase CHMP4B, and its m6A modification by METTL14 facilitates nuclear export; M1 macrophage-derived exosomal miR-628-5p represses METTL14 to reduce circFUT8 m6A and limit this ceRNA program, suppressing HCC progression.
