Description:

hsa_circ_0005927 shows abnormal expression in gastric carcinogenesis: it is decreased in HGIEN/GC tissues but increased in plasma of early GC patients. Functional assays indicate it promotes GC cell proliferation, migration, and invasion, and it is predicted to act as a cytoplasmic miRNA sponge (ceRNA) interacting with five miRNAs and affecting hundreds of downstream genes, with potential utility as an early screening and prognostic biomarker.
