CircN4BP2L2 might serve as a promising diagnostic biomarker for both type I and type II EOC. |
| Description: |
Plasma circN4BP2L2 is significantly down-regulated in both type I and type II epithelial ovarian cancer compared with benign ovarian cyst and healthy controls, and shows diagnostic value with ROC/AUC analyses. Lower circN4BP2L2 levels correlate with adverse clinicopathologic features (advanced stage in type I; lymph node metastasis in type II). The molecular mechanism was not determined, but prior in vitro work cited by the authors suggests decreased circN4BP2L2 may enhance invasion and metastasis-related behaviors in EOC cells. |
