hsa_circ_0003812 is a NEAT1_2-derived circRNA whose biogenesis is strongly induced during HSV-1 infection (vhs-independent) and also during influenza A virus infection. Its induction is linked with novel linear splicing events within and downstream of the circRNA region, suggesting coordinated activation of NEAT1_2 circular and linear splicing under these infection conditions.
