| Description: |
circHIPK3 is up-regulated in DKD-associated podocyte injury models and in diabetic mouse glomeruli. It promotes podocyte apoptosis by binding the RBP FUS and enhancing FUS occupancy on the EDA2R promoter, increasing EDA2R transcription and activating apoptotic signaling; silencing circHIPK3 ameliorates podocyte injury and albuminuria in STZ-induced diabetic mice. |
