Clinical significance:

may be a potential serum biomarker of GBM

Description:

circARID1A is up-regulated in glioblastoma tissues and cell lines and promotes GBM migration/invasion. It acts mainly in the cytoplasm as a miRNA sponge for miR-370-3p, thereby increasing TGFBR2 expression and enhancing invasive phenotypes; knockdown reduces tumor growth in a U87 intracranial xenograft model. circARID1A is enriched in GBM cell-derived exosomes and may serve as a serum biomarker.

Confidence score:

0.8609
