hsa_circ_001978 is up-regulated in CRC patient plasma compared with CRA and healthy controls and, together with hsa_circ_105039 and hsa_circ_103627, forms a circulating circRNA diagnostic panel with strong ROC performance for distinguishing CRC from non-cancer groups. No CRC-related molecular mechanism was experimentally investigated in this study.
