Functionally, circ_0026344 acts as a tumor suppressor by inhibiting CRC proliferation, invasion and xenograft growth while promoting apoptosis. Mechanistically, it sponges miR-21 and miR-31, forming a circ_0026344/miR-21/miR-31 regulatory axis in CRC progression.
