circLMTK2 (hsa_circ_0001725), derived from LMTK2, is down-regulated in gastric cancer tissues and several GC cell lines. Functionally, circLMTK2 overexpression suppresses viability and migration/invasion and promotes apoptosis (with increased Bax/cleaved Caspase 3 and decreased Bcl-2). Clinically, higher circLMTK2 expression correlates with longer overall survival and is an independent prognostic factor. |
