circRNA-disease information
Expression pattern:
DN
Associated gene: TP53I11
Associated microRNA: miR-1234
Biological function: inhibits viability and proliferation; inhibits migration; induces G1 cell cycle arrest
Molecular mechanism: hsa_circ_0006470 binds miR-1234 to relieve repression of TP53I11, affecting downstream Akt/FOXO1/CDK2-related signaling and cell cycle progression
Biological pathway or process:

proliferation (inhibits); migration (inhibits); cell cycle (inhibits); PI3K/AKT (inhibits)

Detected method:
Q
Validation methods:

RT-qPCR; FISH / smFISH; RNase R Treatment; Luciferase Reporter Assay; Transfection; CCK8; EdU Staining; Transwell Assay; Cell Cycle Assay; Western Blot; Bioinformatics Analysis

Clinical significance:

Description:

In gastric cancer cell lines, hsa_circ_0006470 is down-regulated and mainly localized in the cytoplasm. Its overexpression suppresses viability/proliferation and migration and induces G1 arrest. Mechanistically, it acts as a miR-1234 sponge to increase TP53I11 expression, with downstream changes consistent with inhibition of AKT signaling (reduced p-Akt) and cell-cycle regulators (reduced CDK2, increased FOXO1).

Confidence score:

0.6737

Other information
