Associated gene: -
Associated microRNA: -
Biological function: Inhibits gastric cancer cell proliferation, migration, and invasion (tumor-suppressive effect).
Molecular mechanism: -
Biological pathway or process:

proliferation (inhibits); migration (inhibits); invasion (inhibits)

Detected method:
Q
Validation methods:

RT-qPCR; RNase R Treatment; Actinomycin D / DRB Stability Assay; Clinical Sample Validation; ROC Analysis; Survival Analysis; Transfection; CCK8; Transwell Assay; Cohort Study

Clinical significance:

Low circSMARCA5 expression was associated with poorer overall survival and disease-free survival and circSMARCA5 showed diagnostic value with AUC 0.806.

Description:

circSMARCA5 is down-regulated in gastric cancer tissues, cell lines, and patient plasma. Functionally, circSMARCA5 acts as a tumor suppressor by inhibiting proliferation, migration, and invasion of gastric cancer cells. Clinically, low circSMARCA5 is associated with worse OS/DFS and it shows diagnostic potential (AUC 0.806).

Confidence score:

0.7621
