circFADS1 is up-regulated in HCC and promotes tumor cell proliferation while inhibiting apoptosis, including enhanced xenograft growth. Mechanistically, EIF4A3 promotes circFADS1 biogenesis; circFADS1 scaffolds RNF114 and GSK3beta to increase GSK3beta ubiquitination/degradation, thereby activating Wnt/beta-catenin signaling. circFADS1 also contributes to lenvatinib resistance. |
