High/positive circRGPD6 expression is associated with favorable prognosis, longer disease-free survival and overall survival in breast cancer patients; circRGPD6 expression is positively associated with YAF2 expression and is lower in metastatic disease.

Description:

circRGPD6 is down-regulated in breast cancer, especially metastatic lesions and BCSCs. Restoring circRGPD6 with TV-circRGPD6 suppresses BCSC stem-like properties, proliferation and metastasis, partly by sponging miR-26b/miR-26b-5p and increasing YAF2 expression, and it synergizes with docetaxel. Clinically, high circRGPD6 expression predicts better DFS and OS in breast cancer patients.
