This study identified hsa_circ_002059, also listed as hsa_circ_0000140 in CircBase, as significantly down-regulated in gastric cancer tissues compared with adjacent nontumorous tissues. Its expression was also different between preoperative and postoperative plasma samples, correlated with clinicopathological features including TNM stage and distal metastasis, and showed diagnostic potential with an ROC AUC of 0.73. No mechanistic regulatory axis or functional pathway was experimentally investigated. |
