Description:

CircRNF111 is down-regulated in MetS serum/urine and acts protectively against insulin resistance and lipid deposition. It mainly functions as a cytoplasmic ceRNA that sponges miR-143-3p, relieving repression of IGF2R and supporting insulin signaling (Akt phosphorylation), improving glucose uptake and reducing triglyceride accumulation; this was supported by in vitro hADSC assays and HFD-induced obese mouse experiments.
