Description:

circANAPC7 is down-regulated in pancreatic cancer and functions as a tumor suppressor and anti-cachexia factor. It sponges miR-373 to de-repress PHLPP2, leading to reduced AKT phosphorylation and decreased cyclin D1-driven proliferation. Through the PHLPP2/AKT/STAT5 axis it reduces TGF-beta expression/secretion, alleviating muscle wasting, and participates in a CREB-miR-373-PHLPP2 feed-forward loop linked to ZIP4 signaling.
