circRNA-disease information
Expression pattern:
UN
Associated gene: MYC
Associated microRNA: -
Biological function: promotes cell proliferation
Molecular mechanism: Predicted involvement in circRNA-miRNA-mRNA network and cancer pathways; associated with MYC among identified target genes.
Biological pathway or process:

Wnt/beta-catenin (other); proliferation (promotes); ceRNA regulation (other)

Detected method:
Q
S
Validation methods:

RNA-seq; RT-qPCR; Back-Splice Junction PCR / divergent primers PCR; Transfection; MTT; Clinical Sample Validation; Survival Analysis; Bioinformatics Analysis; Sanger Sequencing

Clinical significance:

Included in 60 CSF-circRNAs that were identified and associated with shorten overall survival; circ_0002588 was only identified in CSF from lung cancer patients in the validation cohort.

Description:

hsa_circ_0002588 (RBMS2-derived) is a WNT-associated CSF circRNA candidate detected only in CSF from BM lung adenocarcinoma patients in a validation set. Knockdown in HCC827 reduced cell proliferation, and bioinformatic analyses linked it to cancer pathways including MYC-associated signaling.

Confidence score:

0.7474
