| Clinical significance: |
decreased circTMEM59 was closely related to adverse clinicopathological characteristics and the shorter survival time of CRC patients; circTMEM59 can serve as clinical biomarkers for CRC |
| Description: |
circTMEM59 (hsa_circ_0012634) is down-regulated in colorectal cancer tissues and CRC cell lines and its low level correlates with worse OS/DFS. Functionally, circTMEM59 suppresses proliferation, cell-cycle progression, migration/invasion and promotes apoptosis in vitro and in nude-mouse xenograft/metastasis models. Mechanistically, it acts as a ceRNA that sponges miR-668-3p to increase ID4 expression (circTMEM59/miR-668-3p/ID4 axis). |
