circRUNX1 is up-regulated in NSCLC tissues and cells and high expression is associated with advanced clinicopathological features and poor prognosis. Mechanistically, circRUNX1 sponges miR-145 to increase HK2 expression, enhancing glycolysis, lactate production and the Warburg effect. This metabolic reprogramming promotes Treg infiltration and immune evasion while supporting NSCLC proliferation, migration and tumor growth. |
