Description:

circ-PRKCI (hsa_circ_0067934) is upregulated in RCC tissues and serum exosomes and can be transferred from highly malignant Caki-1 cells to less malignant RCC cells via exosomes. It mainly localizes to the cytoplasm and functions as a ceRNA by sponging miR-545-3p to increase CCND1, thereby promoting RCC proliferation; it also enhances migration/invasion and inhibits apoptosis in RCC cells in exosome/circ-PRKCI gain-of-function settings.
