Low expression of circRHOBTB3 correlates with elevated pathological T stage, clinical M stage, and D'Amico grade; circRHOBTB3 may be a promising biomarker for mPCa detection and intervention.
circRHOBTB3 is a human RHOBTB3-derived circRNA that is downregulated in prostate cancer and more strongly reduced in metastatic PCa. It suppresses PCa proliferation, migration, invasion, and metastasis by binding NONO, retaining NONO in the cytoplasm, and thereby reducing NONO-mediated MAOA transcription. Clinically, low circRHOBTB3 expression is associated with higher pathological T stage, clinical M stage, and D'Amico grade, suggesting biomarker potential for metastatic PCa.

CircRHOBTB3 suppresses MAOA by promoting cytoplasmic retention of NONO to inhibit prostate cancer proliferation and metastasis.
