Description:

In this study, circCRIM1 is a human CRIM1-derived circRNA upregulated in glioma cells and functions as an oncogenic circRNA in glioblastoma/glioma. It promotes malignant progression and angiogenesis by scaffolding PTBP3 to the HIF-1alpha 5′UTR, enhancing HIF-1alpha protein translation and VEGFA expression; EIF4A3 also promotes its circularization under hypoxic conditions.
