hsa_circ_0118578 is upregulated in papillary thyroid cancer and is associated with more aggressive clinicopathologic features. Functionally, hsa_circ_0118578 promotes PTC cell proliferation, invasion, migration, and tumor growth, while its knockdown suppresses malignancy in vitro and in vivo. Mechanistically, EIF4A3 binds SATB2 pre-mRNA flanking sequences and enhances/stabilizes hsa_circ_0118578 expression.
