potential early biomarker for predicting invasive metastasis in GC |
| Description: |
circRIMS is up-regulated in metastasis-prone gastric cancer tissues (higher in T3N3M0 than T3N1M0) and promotes GC cell migration, invasion, and in vivo metastatic burden. Mechanistically, it functions as a miRNA sponge for hsa-miR-148a-5p and hsa-miR-218-5p, and miRNA mimics can rescue/reverse the pro-metastatic phenotype. It is proposed as a potential early biomarker for predicting invasive metastasis in GC. |
