Description:

circZNF131 is downregulated in gastric cancer plasma and tumor tissues, and low expression is associated with poor prognosis. Functionally, circZNF131 suppresses GC cell proliferation, migration, invasion and tumor growth by encoding the IRES-driven protein ZNF131-354aa. Mechanistically, ZNF131-354aa represses CTBP2 transcription to increase E-cadherin and PTEN expression, while TRIM28 promotes ZNF131-354aa ubiquitination and degradation.
