CircAURKA (hsa_circ_0008777), derived from AURKA, is up-regulated in CRC tissues, cells and serum and is associated with poorer prognosis, lymph node metastasis and potential diagnostic value. Functionally, it promotes CRC proliferation, invasion and metastasis in vitro and in vivo. Mechanistically, circAURKA promotes ACLY-CTNNB1 interaction, inhibits CTNNB1 ubiquitination/degradation, supports Wnt/beta-catenin-related downstream effects, and its own stability is regulated by m6A modification.
