Description:

circZFR is up-regulated in breast cancer and its high expression correlates with worse overall survival. Functionally, circZFR promotes malignant phenotypes (proliferation/colony formation, migration/invasion, glycolysis) and suppresses apoptosis. Mechanistically, circZFR sponges miR-578 to de-repress HIF1A, forming a circZFR/miR-578/HIF1A regulatory axis.
