High circMETTL15 abundance was positively associated with tumor size, TNM stage, lymph node metastasis and poorer overall survival; it may be a prognostic or diagnostic biomarker in CRC.

Description:

circMETTL15 is up-regulated in colorectal cancer tissues and cell lines and high expression is associated with adverse clinicopathological features and poor overall survival. Functionally, circMETTL15 promotes CRC cell proliferation, invasion, migration, EMT and tumor growth while inhibiting apoptosis. Mechanistically, it acts as a ceRNA for miR-374a-5p to increase ESCO2 expression.
