circATG9A expression was significantly correlated with Fuhrman grade, tumor size, TNM stage, and prognosis of RCC patients; it may serve as a potential diagnostic, prognostic, and therapeutic target.
circATG9A is a human circRNA derived from ATG9A and is up-regulated in RCC/ccRCC tissues and RCC cell lines. It promotes RCC cell proliferation, migration, invasion, tumor growth, and EMT by sponging miR-497-5p to regulate TRPM3 and activate the Wnt/beta-catenin pathway. Clinically, circATG9A expression is associated with tumor features and prognosis, suggesting potential value as a prognostic and therapeutic target.
