Description:

circSLC39A5 is down-regulated in HCC tissues and plasma and shows diagnostic potential in plasma. Functionally, it suppresses HCC malignant phenotypes (proliferation, migration, invasion) and promotes apoptosis, including reduced tumor growth in xenografts. Mechanistically, nucleus-localized circSLC39A5 binds STAT1 to increase STAT1 stability/expression, enhancing STAT1-driven TDG transcription and reducing PCNA to inhibit proliferation.
