Functionally, it suppresses HCC malignant phenotypes (proliferation, migration, invasion) and promotes apoptosis, including reduced tumor growth in xenografts. Mechanistically, nucleus-localized circSLC39A5 binds STAT1 to increase STAT1 stability/expression, enhancing STAT1-driven TDG transcription and reducing PCNA to inhibit proliferation. |
