Description:

circSETD2 is down-regulated in preeclampsia-associated trophoblasts and its overexpression promotes trophoblast proliferation and invasion while inhibiting apoptosis. Mechanistically, m6A modification upregulates circSETD2, which acts as a ceRNA sponge for miR-181a-5p to increase MCL1 transcription and thereby protect trophoblasts from apoptosis.
