circRNA-disease information
Expression pattern:
UP
Associated gene: REL, NF-kappaB pathway, NF-kappaB p65, p-NF-kappaB p65
Associated microRNA: miR-1263
Biological function: Promotes proliferation, cell cycle progression and inflammatory response, inhibits apoptosis, and facilitates RA progression in HFLS-RA cells.
Molecular mechanism: circ_0088036 acts as a sponge for miR-1263, increases REL expression, and activates the NF-kappaB signaling pathway.
Biological pathway or process:

NF-kappaB (promotes); proliferation (promotes); cell cycle (promotes); inflammation (promotes); apoptosis (inhibits); ceRNA regulation (promotes)

Detected method:
Q
Validation methods:

RNase R Treatment; RT-qPCR; CCK8; EdU Staining; Cell Cycle Assay; Annexin V/PI Flow Cytometry; Flow Cytometry(Non-apoptosis/cycle); ELISA; Western Blot; RNA Pull-Down; Luciferase Reporter Assay; RIP (RNA Immunoprecipitation); Transfection; Nuclear-Cytoplasmic Fractionation; Clinical Sample Validation; Bioinformatics Analysis

Clinical significance:

circ_0088036 might be a useful biomolecule in the diagnosis of RA.

Description:

circ_0088036 is up-regulated in sera and HFLS-RA cells from RA patients. It promotes HFLS-RA proliferation, cell cycle progression and inflammatory cytokine production while suppressing apoptosis, mainly through sponging miR-1263 to increase REL and activate NF-kappaB signaling. The study also suggests that its abnormal up-regulation may have diagnostic relevance in RA.

Confidence score:

0.7982
