Description:

In osteosarcoma, hsa-circ-0001146 (from CPNE1) is up-regulated and localizes to both nucleus and cytoplasm. It sponges miR-26a-5p, competitively reducing miR-26a-5p binding to MNAT1 mRNA and increasing MNAT1 expression, thereby promoting proliferation/viability, migration and invasion while reducing apoptosis; knockdown also suppresses xenograft tumor growth.
