High circ_0011232 expression was associated with tumor size, TNM stage, liver cirrhosis, lymph node metastases, and shorter overall survival; it might be a prognostic biomarker and therapeutic target for HCC.
Circ_0011232 is upregulated in HCC tissues and cells and is associated with poorer overall survival and aggressive clinicopathological features. Functionally, it promotes proliferation, colony formation, migration, invasion, and xenograft tumor growth while suppressing apoptosis. Mechanistically, circ_0011232 sponges miR-503-5p to upregulate AKT3, forming a circ_0011232/miR-503-5p/AKT3 oncogenic axis.
