Description:

Circ-STIL is up-regulated in HCC tissues and cell lines and functions as an oncogenic circRNA. It promotes HCC proliferation, migration, invasion and in vivo tumor growth while suppressing apoptosis, mainly through a ceRNA mechanism in which circ-STIL sponges miR-345-5p to increase AQP3 expression. The study suggests circ-STIL as a potential therapeutic target for HCC.
