Up-regulated Circ-TLK1 was significantly correlated with larger tumor volume, higher WHO grades, and poorer survival rate in glioma patients.
Circ-TLK1 is up-regulated in glioma tissues and cell lines and high expression is associated with larger tumor volume, higher grade, and poorer survival. Functionally, Circ-TLK1 promotes glioma proliferation, migration, invasion, metastasis and in vivo tumor growth while inhibiting apoptosis. Mechanistically, it sponges miR-17-5p to up-regulate PANX1 and activate MAPK/ERK signaling.

Inhibiting of circ-TLK1 inhibits the progression of glioma through down-regulating PANX1 via targeting miR-17-5p.
