circHIPK3 is up-regulated in breast cancer tissues and cell lines and acts as an oncogenic circRNA. It promotes proliferation, migration, invasion, EMT-like marker changes, apoptosis resistance and xenograft tumor growth by sponging miR-326 and regulating apoptosis- and metastasis-related proteins. The study proposes circHIPK3 as a potential therapeutic target for breast cancer.
