Description:

Exosomal circEPB41L2 is downregulated in plasma exosomes from colorectal cancer patients and in colorectal cancer cells. It functions as a tumour suppressor by sponging miR-21-5p and miR-942-5p, increasing PTEN and inhibiting AKT activation, thereby reducing proliferation, migration, invasion and tumour growth while promoting apoptosis. It also showed potential diagnostic value for colorectal cancer and tumour staging.
