Description:

circCDK14 (hsa_circ_0001721), derived from CDK14, is up-regulated in glioma tissues/cell lines and its high expression predicts worse OS. Functionally, it promotes glioma proliferation, migration, invasion and xenograft growth. Mechanistically, circCDK14 mainly localizes in the cytoplasm and sponges miR-3938 to increase PDGFRA, thereby enhancing malignant behavior and decreasing sensitivity to erastin-induced ferroptosis, partly via PDGFRalpha signaling affecting GPX4/SLC7A11.
