Clinical significance:

Description:

CircMAP3K5 is down-regulated in CHD arteries and in wire-injury-associated intimal hyperplasia. It functions as a cytoplasmic miR-22-3p sponge, increasing TET2 expression to promote VSMC differentiation and suppress SMC proliferation, thereby reducing neointima formation. The CircMAP3K5/miR-22-3p/TET2 axis is proposed as a therapeutic target for intimal hyperplasia-related vascular disease.
