| Associated microRNA: |
miR-361-3p |
| Biological function: |
Circ_0000034 acts as an oncogene in retinoblastoma; its knockdown represses cell viability, migration, invasion, EMT, and in vivo tumor growth, and induces apoptosis. |
| Molecular mechanism: |
Circ_0000034 functions as a miR-361-3p sponge to upregulate ADAM19, thereby promoting RB progression. |

| Clinical significance: |
Circ_0000034 might be a possible therapeutic target for retinoblastoma. |
| Description: |
In this study, hsa_circ_0000034/circ_0000034 was upregulated in retinoblastoma tissues and cells. Functional experiments showed that circ_0000034 promotes RB cell viability, migration, invasion, EMT, and xenograft tumor growth while suppressing apoptosis. Mechanistically, circ_0000034 acts as a sponge for miR-361-3p and thereby upregulates ADAM19, supporting the circ_0000034/miR-361-3p/ADAM19 axis as a potential therapeutic target in RB. |
